The1998 Kazakhstan Top Division was the seventh season of the Top Division, now called theKazakhstan Premier League, the highestfootball league competition inKazakhstan.[1][2]

Teams

Following the conclusion of theprevious season,Aktobe andUlytau were relegated, withNasha Kampaniya andNaryn being promoted in their place. Prior to the start of the season,Kairat were replaced byCSKA Kairat andAvtomobilist were renamedKhimik following their move toStepnogorsk.
