The league was contested by 18 teams withUD Leiria winning the championship and gaining promotion to thePrimeira Liga along withSC Beira-Mar andFC Alverca. At the other end of the tableAcadémico Viseu,SCU Torreense andNacional Funchal were relegated to theSegunda Divisão.[1]
