The1992Arab Games were the seventh edition of the quadrennialmulti-sport event forArab nations. They were held inDamascus,Syria between September 4 and 18, 1992. A total of 2611 athletes from 18 countries participated in events in 14 sports.
The event was greatly affected by the 1991Gulf War, and several athletes refused to participate in the games. Iraq and Libya did not take part in the games.
The football tournament was also considered a part of theArab Nations Cup.
