The1990 Ohio State Auditor election was held on November 6, 1990, to elect theOhio State Auditor. Primaries were held on May 8, 1990. Democratic incumbent Ohio State Auditor Thomas E. Ferguson won re-election to a fifth term in office, defeating RepublicanOhio State House RepresentativeJim Petro by five percentage points.

As of 2025 this is the last time Democrats have won the office as Ohio State Auditor.
