The1990 Georgia lieutenant gubernatorial election was held on November 6, 1990, to elect thelieutenant governor of Georgia, concurrently with the1990 gubernatorial election, as well aselections to theUnited States Senate andelections to theUnited States House of Representatives and variousstate andlocal elections. Georgia is one of 21 states that elects itslieutenant governor separately from itsgovernor.

IncumbentDemocratic lieutenant governorZell Miller retired to run for governor. Democrats nominated State SenatorPierre Howard who defeatedRepublican nomineeMatt Towery.
