The1989 FIFA Futsal World Championship was the firstFIFA Futsal World Championship, the quadrennial internationalfutsal championship contested by the men's national teams of the member associations ofFIFA. It was held between 5 and 15 January 1989 in theNetherlands. It was the first non-Olympic FIFA tournament held in the country.

Brazil won the tournament.
