Stanford defeatedLSU, 5–2, in the final of the team championship, the Cardinal's ninth overall title.
The tournaments were played at theDan Magill Tennis Complex at theUniversity of Georgia inAthens, Georgia.[1] The men's and women's tournaments would not be held at the same venue until2006.
