The1987 NCAA Division II football season, part ofcollege football in the United States organized by theNational Collegiate Athletic Association at theDivision II level, began in August 1987, and concluded with theNCAA Division II Football Championship on December 12, 1987, atBraly Municipal Stadium inFlorence, Alabama, hosted by theUniversity of North Alabama. TheTroy State Trojans defeated thePortland State Vikings, 31–17, to win their second Division II national title.[1]
