NBA professional basketball team season
The1985–86 San Antonio Spurs season was the Spurs' tenth season in theNBA , the 13th inSan Antonio , and the 19th season as a franchise.[ 1] It was also their first season withoutGeorge Gervin , who played with the team since 1974 as he was traded to theChicago Bulls during the offseason.
In his second year, Alvin Robertson led the league in steals and made his first All-Star Game appearance. Robertson earned Defensive Player of the year honors at the end of the season.
