The1983 Women's Hockey World Cup was the fifth edition of theWomen's Hockey World Cupfield hockey tournament. It was held from 10 April to 23 April inKuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

It was won by theNetherlands, who defeatedCanada 4–2 in the final.[1] Host nationMalaysia did not participate in the tournament.
