The1983Atlantic Coast Conference men's basketball tournament was held inAtlanta, Georgia, at theOmni Coliseum from March 11–13.NC State defeatedVirginia, 81–78, to win the championship.[1]Sidney Lowe of NC State was named tournament MVP.[1] It was the first time the event was held in Atlanta.
