Mitsubishi Motors (currently theUrawa Red Diamonds) won the1982 Japan Soccer League. Yamaha Motor Company (currently theJúbilo Iwata) won the Second Division of the Soccer League and was promoted to the First Division. It also won theEmperor's Cup.
