The1979–80 Milwaukee Bucks season was the Bucks' 12th season in theNBA.[1] With 49 wins and 33 losses they won their division and ranked fourth in the Western Conference. In the1979 NBA draft, the Bucks drafted guardSidney Moncrief out of theUniversity of Arkansas. During the season, the Bucks acquired centerBob Lanier from theDetroit Pistons. After a first-round-bye the Bucks faced the defending champions, theSeattle SuperSonics, which were led byGus Williams andDennis Johnson.
