The1977 Washington Huskies football team represented theUniversity of Washington in the1977 NCAA Division I football season as a member of thePacific-8 Conference (Pac-8). The Huskies were led by third-year head coachDon James and played their home games atHusky Stadium inSeattle. They finished the regular season at7–4 overall, were champions of the Pac-8 at6–1, and earned a trip to theRose Bowl onJanuary 2.[1][2]

The Huskies were 14-point underdogs to No. 4Michigan, but upset the Wolverines27–20.[3][4][5]
