Official list of the best college football players of 1977
The1977 All-America college football team is composed ofcollege football players who were selected asAll-Americans by various organizations and writers that choseCollege Football All-America Teams in 1977. TheNational Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) recognizes four selectors as "official" for the 1977 season. They are:[ 1] American Football Coaches Association (AFCA);[ 2] Associated Press (AP) selected based on the votes of sports writers at AP newspapers;[ 3] Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) selected by the nation's football writers;[ 4] United Press International (UPI) selected based on the votes of sports writers at UPI newspapers.[ 5] Football News (FN),[ 6] Newspaper Enterprise Association (NEA),[ 7] The Sporting News [ 8] Walter Camp Football Foundation (WC).
