The1972Brownlow Medal was the 45th year the award was presented to the player adjudged thefairest and best player during theVictorian Football League (VFL) home and away season.[1]Len Thompson of theCollingwood Football Club won the medal by polling twenty-five votes during the1972 VFL season.[2]
