The1972–73 Divizia A was the fifty-fifth season ofDivizia A, the top-levelfootball league ofRomania. With 7 rounds before the end of the season, theRomanian Football Federation decided to raise the number of teams from 16 to 18 in the next season and because of this it was decided that no team will relegate in this season.[2]
