The1971Brownlow Medal was the 44th year the award was presented to the player adjudged thefairest and best player during theVictorian Football League (VFL) home and away season.[1]Ian Stewart of theRichmond Football Club won the medal by polling twenty-one votes during the1971 VFL season.[2]
