The1968 United States House of Representatives election in New Mexico was held on Tuesday November 5, 1968 to elect the state's two representatives.
This was the first election in whichNew Mexico elected their members usingsingle-member districts instead ofat-large districts. This was because of theUniform Congressional District Act which dictates that members of thehouse of representatives must be elected from geographical districts and that these must be single-member districts. This was the first election since1928 in which republicans won a congressional district in New Mexico.
