The1967 Season was the 8th season for theSan Diego Chargers as a professionalAFLfranchise; the team improved on their 7–6–1 record in1966 and finishing at 8–5–1. It was the team's first season atSan Diego Stadium. The Chargers finished in third place in theAFL West Division with a record of 8–5–1.

Ten Chargers were in the West team for theAFL All-Star game, while three were named to theAssociated PressAll-AFL first team and one to the second team.[2][3] Also, Post won theAP AFL Offensive Rookie of the Year award with 17 of the 27 votes, while Hadl and Gillman received votes forPlayer of the Year andCoach of the Year respectively.[4]
