The1965 Bucknell Bison football team was anAmerican football team that representedBucknell University as a member of the University Division of theMiddle Atlantic Conference (MAC) during the1965 NCAA College Division football season. In their first year under head coachCarroll Huntress, the Bison compiled an overall record of 6–3 with a mark of 5–1 in conference play, winning the MAC University Division title.[1] T. Geoffrey Traub was the team captain.[2] After winning their first two games, the Bison were ranked No. 18 in theUPI small college poll, but lost that week toPenn and dropped out of the rankings. Despite recovering with a conference-winning record, they remained unranked through the end of the year. Bucknell played home games atMemorial Stadium on the university's campus inLewisburg, Pennsylvania.
