  • On January 21,William Clay Ford, Lions president since1961, purchased the team, which as of2025, continues to be held by the family, currently byhis daughter Sheila.[1]
  • On March 16, Lions Defensive Tackle Alex Karras was reinstated by Pete Rozelle after being suspended for betting.[1]
