The1960 Duke Blue Devils football team representedDuke University during the1960 college football season.[2] Led by eighth-year head coachWilliam D. Murray, the Blue Devils wereAtlantic Coast Conferencechampions,[3][4][5][6] and won theCotton Bowl by a point over favoredArkansas.[7][8][9]

It was Duke's sixth and most recent major bowlappearance, and its only trip to theCotton Bowl. The program's next bowl was nearly three decades away, in1989,[10] and the next bowl win came in2015.
