The1956 Pro Bowl was theNational Football League's sixth annualall-star game which featured top performers from the1955 season. The game was played on January 15, 1956, at theLos Angeles Memorial Coliseum inLos Angeles, California in front of 37,867 fans. The East squad defeated the West by a score of 31–30.[1][2]

The West team was led by theLos Angeles RamsSid Gillman whileJoe Kuharich of theWashington Redskins' coached the East squad.[3]Chicago Cardinals backOllie Matson was selected as the game'soutstanding player.[4]
