The1955USA Indoor Track and Field Championships were organized by theAmateur Athletic Union (AAU) and served as thenational championships in indoortrack and field for theUnited States.
The men's edition was held atMadison Square Garden inNew York City, New York, and it took place February 19. The women's meet was held separately at theHenry Crown Field House inChicago, Illinois, taking place February 5.[1][2]
The women's meeting served as a qualifier for the U.S. team at the1955 Pan American Games. Because of this, thediscus throw andjavelin throw were contested at the meet for the first time.[3][4]
