The1955Brownlow Medal was the 28th year the award was presented to the player adjudged thefairest and best player during theVictorian Football League (VFL) home and away season.[1]Fred Goldsmith of theSouth Melbourne Football Club won the medal by polling twenty-one votes during the1955 VFL season.[2]
