The1953Brownlow Medal was the 26th year the award was presented to the player adjudged thefairest and best player during theVictorian Football League (VFL) home and away season.[1]Bill Hutchison of theEssendon Football Club won the medal by polling twenty-six votes during the1953 VFL season.[2]
