TheWorld Figure Skating Championships is an annualfigure skating competition sanctioned by theInternational Skating Union in whichfigure skaters compete for the title of World Champion.

The 1951 championships took place on February 23–25 inMilan,Italy. It was the first year afterWorld War II that athletes fromGermany andJapan were allowed to compete at Worlds.[1]
