The1950 Idaho gubernatorial election was held on November 7 to elect the nextgovernor of Idaho, alongsideelections to theUnited States Senate,elections to theU.S. House, and other state and local elections.[1][2][3]

Idaho changed the term for governor from two to four years starting with the1946 election, and the incumbent was not allowed to run for a second term (self-succession) until1958. Republican nomineeLeonard B. Jordan defeated Democratic nomineeCalvin E. Wright with 52.56% of the vote.

GovernorC. A. Robins ran for theU.S. Senate, but lost in the August primary toHerman Welker.[4][5]
