In its tenth season under head coachPeahead Walker, the team compiled a 6–3 record and finished in a tie for tenth place in theSouthern Conference.[1]

Wake Forest quarterbackNick Sacrinty ranked seventh nationally with 822 passing yards and fourth with 12 interceptions.[2] EndRed O'Quinn ranked third nationally with 29 pass receptions.[3]

Wake Forest was ranked at No. 34 in the finalLitkenhous Difference by Score System rankings for 1946.[4]
