The1945Memorial Cup final was the 27thjunior ice hockey championship of theCanadian Amateur Hockey Association (CAHA). The finals were held atMaple Leaf Gardens inToronto. CAHA presidentFrank Sargent chose the location to maximize profits, which were reinvested intominor ice hockey in Canada.[1]
TheGeorge Richardson Memorial Trophy championsToronto St. Michael's Majors of theOntario Hockey Association inEastern Canada competed against theAbbott Cup championsMoose Jaw Canucks theSouthern Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League in ofWestern Canada. In a best-of-seven series, held atMaple Leaf Gardens inToronto,Ontario, St. Michael's won their 2nd Memorial Cup, defeating Moose Jaw 4 games to 1.
