The1944 Washington gubernatorial election was held on November 7, 1944.Democratic nomineeMonrad Wallgren defeated incumbentRepublicanArthur B. Langlie with 51.51% of the vote.

Primary election

Theprimary election was held on July 11, 1944.[1] At the time, Washington used a blanket primary for nominations, with all candidates appearing on the same ballot and the highest candidate for each party being nominated.
