The1936 Rhode Island Rams football team was anAmerican football team that represented Rhode Island State College (later renamed theUniversity of Rhode Island) as a member of theNew England Conference during the1936 college football season. In its 17th season under head coachFrank Keaney, the team compiled a 5–4 record (1–2 against conference opponents) and finished in third place in the conference.[1] The team played its home games atMeade Stadium with the exception of two night games played atCranston Stadium.
