Canadian Football News in 1935

TheWinnipegs (soon to be known as the Blue Bombers in 1936) became the firstWestern Canadian team to win theGrey Cup by defeating theHamilton Tigers, 18–12, inHamilton.

TheCalgary club changed it name toBronks.

TheCanadian Intercollegiate Rugby Football Union returns to play for theGrey Cup for one more season.

The Winnipeg Victoria Rugby Club reformed on February 22, 1935. The nucleus of the team would be made up of players who played the 1934 season for the Deer Lodge junior team.
