The1933–34 season was the 37th in the history of theWestern Football League.

The Division One champions for the first time in their history wereBath City. The winners of Division Two wereWeymouth. There was again no promotion or relegation between the two divisions this season. The originalTaunton Town club (not the current incarnation) became the first club in the history of the Western League to complete a season and lose all their games. The club disbanded after the end of the season.[1]

AfterBristol City Reserves andCardiff City Reserves left the league, Division One was reduced from nine to seven clubs, with no new clubs joining.

Rules for classification: The system of usinggoal average to separate two teams tied on points was used up to and including the 1976–77 season. The points system: 2 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for losing.
Notes:
  1. ^To decide the Division Two championship, a play-off was arranged between Weymouth and Bath City Reserves. Weymouth won the match and were declared champions.[1]
