The1932Philadelphia Athletics season involved the A's finishing second in theAmerican League with a record of 94 wins and 60 losses. The team finished 13 games behind theNew York Yankees, breaking their streak of three straight AL championships.

Regular season

Jimmie Foxx had an impressive offensive season – 58home runs, 169RBI, and a .364batting average – and missed thetriple crown by just three BA points. He was voted the American LeagueMost Valuable Player.Mickey Cochrane became the first catcher inMajor League Baseball history to score 100runs and have 100 RBI in the same season.[1]
