The1931 Illinois Fighting Illini football team was anAmerican football team that represented theUniversity of Illinois during the1931 college football season. In their 19th season under head coachRobert Zuppke, the Illini compiled a 2–6 record and finished in last place in theBig Ten Conference.[1] EndFred Frink was selected as the team's most valuable player.[2] Halfback Gil Berry was the team captain.[3]
