The1930 New Mexico gubernatorial election took place on November 4, 1930, in order to elect theGovernor of New Mexico. Incumbent RepublicanRichard C. Dillon was term-limited, and could not run for reelection to a third consecutive term. DemocratArthur Seligman defeated Republican Clarence M. Botts by about 6.5 points. Seligman was the first Democratic gubernatorial candidate to ever winSanta Fe County andTaos County and the first Democratric candidate to carryGuadalupe County since1916.

  1. ^The 1931-1932 Blue Book credits Butler with 274 votes but the original handwritten canvass gives his total as 278. The difference is the original canvass lists 2 votes each in McKinley and Rio Arriba counties but the Blue Book omits these.
