The factions of the Liberal and Conservative parties which supportedRodolfo Chiari, the opposition candidate for president, pleaded for moreUnited States supervisors to prevent the President from fixing the results. TheWoodrow Wilson administration cooperated withBelisario Porras Barahona and his party easily won.[3]
