The1908 Georgia gubernatorial election was held on 7 October 1908 in order to elect theGovernor of Georgia.Democratic nomineeJoseph Mackey Brown defeatedIndependent candidate Yancy Carter in a landslide.[1]
The Democraticprimary election was held on 13 June 1908. CandidateJoseph Mackey Brown received a majority of the votes (52.60%), and was thus elected as the nominee for the general election over incumbent GovernorHoke Smith.[2][3]
