The1906 Minnesota Secretary of State election was held on 6 November 1906 in order to elect theSecretary of State of Minnesota.Republican nomineeJulius A. Schmahl defeatedDemocratic nominee Peter M. Magnusson andProhibition nominee Nels C. Hendricks.[1]
On election day, 6 November 1906,Republican nomineeJulius A. Schmahl won the election by a margin of 40,959 votes against his foremost opponentDemocratic nominee Peter M. Magnusson, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of Secretary of State. Schmahl was sworn in as the 13thMinnesota Secretary of State on 7 January 1907.[2]
