The1904 United States presidential election in West Virginia took place on November 8, 1904. All contemporary 45 states were part of the1904 United States presidential election. Voters chose seven electors to theElectoral College, which selected thepresident andvice president.
West Virginia was won by theRepublican nominees, incumbent PresidentTheodore Roosevelt ofNew York and his running mateCharles W. Fairbanks ofIndiana. They defeated theDemocratic nominees, formerChief Judge of New York Court of AppealsAlton B. Parker and his running mate, formerUS SenatorHenry G. Davis, of which West Virginia was his home state. Roosevelt won the state by a margin of 13.23%.
Despite the over 13-point victory in the state, it was 5 points more Democratic than the national average.
