The1902 Hawthorn Football Club season was the inaugural season of theHawthorn Football Club.[1][2] The club was formed in April 1902 and was admitted into theMetropolitan Junior Football Association (MJFA) several weeks later.[3][4]

Hawthorn's first-ever game was a four-point loss toSt Ignatius in round 1.[5] The club's first win came in round 4, defeatingCeltic by 18 points.[6] At the end of the season, Hawthorn finished sixth on the ladder with a 6−10 win-loss record.[7][8]
