The1898 Minnesota Attorney General election was held on 8 November 1898 in order to elect theattorney general of Minnesota.Republican nominee andincumbent member of theMinnesota House of RepresentativesWallace B. Douglas defeatedDemocratic nominee John F. Kelly andProhibition nominee Daniel W. Doty.[1]
On election day, 8 November 1898,Republican nomineeWallace B. Douglas won the election by a margin of 40,774 votes against his foremost opponentDemocratic nominee John F. Kelly, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of attorney general. Douglas was sworn in as the 10thattorney general of Minnesota on 3 January 1899.[2]
