The1884 Milwaukee Brewers were an Americanprofessional baseball team that served as a replacement team late in theUnion Association (UA) season of1884.[1] Called theCream Citys[a] by both local newspapers, and appearing in some sources as theMilwaukee Grays,[2][b] they had a record of 8–4.[3]
The minor-leagueMilwaukee Brewers came to the UA from theNorthwestern League, as did theSt. Paul Saints, and were managed byTom Loftus. They played their home games at theWright Street Grounds. The Brewers joined the newWestern League for the 1885 season before folding and being replaced by a differentMilwaukee Brewers team that played the following year in the Northwestern League.
