The1876 United States presidential election in Texas was held on November 7, 1876, as part of the1876 United States presidential election. State voters chose eight electors to represent the state in theElectoral College, which chose thepresident andvice president.

Texas overwhelmingly voted for theDemocratic nominee,GovernorSamuel J. Tilden ofNew York, who received 70% of the vote. With 70% of the popular vote, Texas proved to be Tilden's second-strongest state only afterGeorgia.
