The1873 Minnesota Attorney General election was held on 4 November 1873 in order to elect theattorney general of Minnesota.Republican nominee andincumbent member of theMinnesota House of Representatives from the 8th DistrictGeorge P. Wilson defeatedDemocratic nominee William Clough.[1]
On election day, 4 November 1873,Republican nomineeGeorge P. Wilson won the election by a margin of 4,994 votes against his opponentDemocratic nominee William Clough, thereby retaining Republican control over the office of attorney general. Wilson was sworn in as the 5thattorney general of Minnesota on 7 January 1874.[2]
