Wisconsin would be won by theNational Union Party candidate, incumbentRepublican PresidentAbraham Lincoln and his running mateAndrew Johnson .[ 1] They defeated theDemocratic candidateGeorge B. McClellan and his running mateGeorge H. Pendleton . Lincoln won the state by a margin of 13.20%.
This was the last election until1912 in which a Democrat carriedLafayette County .
