The1860 United States presidential election in Alabama took place on November 6, 1860, as part of the1860 United States presidential election. Alabama voters chose nine representatives, or electors, to theElectoral College, who voted forpresident andvice president.

Alabama was won by theSouthern Democratic candidate14thVice President of the United StatesJohn C. Breckinridge ofKentucky and his running mateSenatorJoseph Lane ofOregon. They defeated theConstitutional Union candidateSenatorJohn Bell ofTennessee and his running mateGovernor of MassachusettsEdward Everett as well as theDemocratic candidate 15thSenatorStephen A. Douglas ofIllinois) and his running mate41st Governor of GeorgiaHerschel V. Johnson. Breckinridge would win the state by a margin of 23.11%.

Republican Party candidateAbraham Lincoln was not on the ballot in the state. It would not participate in the 1864 election, which Lincoln won.
