The1852 United States presidential election in California was held on November 2, 1852, as part of the1852 United States presidential election. Voters chose four representatives, or electors to theElectoral College, who voted forpresident andvice president.

This wasCalifornia's first presidential election, following its admission as the 31st state on September 9, 1850. TheDemocratic nominee,New HampshireSenatorFranklin Pierce, won the state, defeating theWhig nominee,United States ArmyGeneralWinfield Scott.

Pierce won the state by a margin of 6.27%.
